Be-spoke Home learning courses
We are now offering a range of courses to suit family groups and friends to take place in their own home and to be tailor made for their own specific needs.
If you are a family with small children or have regular commitments to the home but who would love to learn how to cure and smoke your own bacon or have a go at making your own sausages, salamis or cured ham or game products then look no further.
All of these courses can be run at the weekends or during the week, whatever suits you. It is bespoke as I said.
Simply choose a number of elements that interest you up to three in all and a time that is compatible with your life style.
All courses are priced as – Full day (6 hours) half day (3 hours)
All equipment will be supplied as will all meat and ingredients. Everything that you make you will keep. Typically if you desire to make bacon, you will be supplied with your own piece of belly pork and or loin the same goes for sausages, pates and terrines
We offer full and comprehensive courses in the following:
Basic curing and smoking to include meat and fish
Advanced Charcuterie making
Terrine & pate making from both farmed and wild meats
The skill of making cured sausages, (all gluten free) and English style bangers
The art & skill of spinning. How to card, dye and spin your own fleece (spinning wheel supplied)
Courses can be as long or as short as you desire.
For example
You decide that in half a day (3 hours)you would like to make sausages, learn the basics of terrine making and cure a piece of bacon. The cost of which would be £100 per person
The minimum amount of people required would be two people. However, why not invite a few friends around to your house for the day to enjoy the learning experience together, this will forever after increase your home dinner parties and BBQ’s and create a stronger bond of friendship and create a competitive edge.
